Mary is Jesus’ mother and our mother too. When my family and friends do no not understand my “yes” to God, Mary understands. When my plans are interrupted Mary understands. Her suffering shows me she understands what I experience when I say “yes” to God and experience suffering.
You gave her to us as my mother at the cross. Oh, Gentle Savior, today we celebrate your mother under her title of Our Sorrowful Mother.
Only in knowing Your great love for me can I look deeply into myself.
